It’s been a while since I last published a blog post and a lot has happened since then. Novel writing November took precedence last month, and although I didn’t spend the month drafting a new book, editing consumed my time. In December, it’s only gotten worse.

On the first day of this month, my editing woes began. I uncovered several egregious plot holes and flawed character reasonings that had somehow slipped onto the page. I’ve brainstormed, reorganized events, and made copious notes in an attempt to fix the issue, but there is no quick and easy solution. I finally just broke down everything into big, medium, and small problems and I will attack my stack of “big” this month. Wish me every ounce of luck the stars could possibly grant!

All that to say… I don’t think I’ll be making my spring 2025 publishing deadline. I know, I’m sorry! My plan is still to publish in 2025 – I will do everything possible to make that happen – but I’m not nailing myself down with a specific due date because I’m already putting enough pressure on myself. I hope you understand.
